SJ Denham Partners with Adopt-A-Family
What many take for granted on Christmas Day -- twinkling lights, a bedecked Christmas tree surrounded by beautifully wrapped gifts and a warm meal shared with friends and family -- is only a dream for those less fortunate.
For more than a decade, Northern Valley Catholic Social Services has worked to give these families a more joyous Christmas. Through their Adopt-A-Family program, generous citizens, and local businesses and organizations have been able to provide clothing, food and toys to North State families who are struggling financially. Last year, nearly 700 families were adopted through the program.
The Adopt-A-Family program is a fantastic way for our family-owned business to give to other families throughout the community. Just as we did last year, SJ Denham is partnering with Adopt-A-Family in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties to brighten the Christmas of families in need.
Christmas is a season of receiving, but more importantly, it’s a season of giving. We understand that a family’s financial need increases during the holiday season, so for every car sold at our Redding or Mt. Shasta dealership between November 1st and December 24th, SJ Denham with donate $50 towards the Adopt-A-Family program.
Ultimately, everyone at SJ Denham participates. It’s from the proceeds of the day-to-day business that we are able to donate those funds back to Adopt-A Family. All 65 of our employees work together to make a difference.
We want to make the single mom’s dream of providing a warm jacket for her child a reality. We want the struggling couple that has fallen on hard times to have the opportunity to give a gift to each of their children. We want to bring hope to those who feel hopeless.
We’re all in this together. No matter what your situation, there is always a way to give back to our community, and we hope you do. Spread the word, spread the love, spread the cheer.
